Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 is a stealth action compilation published by Konami. It released on October 24, 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4, and brings Hideo Kojima's early Metal Gear games together on modern systems.

The collection includes Metal Gear Solid (1998) with VR Missions, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. It also adds the MSX2 originals, Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, plus the NES versions of Metal Gear and Snake's Revenge as bonus content.

The core gameplay is classic tactical espionage. You sneak past guards, hide in shadows and cardboard boxes, use radar and gadgets, and choose between silent takedowns or open combat. Each game layers on new ideas, from MGS2's first-person aiming to MGS3's camouflage and survival systems in the jungle.

All games are single-player. Each comes with a digital Master Book that explains the story and characters, and a Screenplay Book with the full script. Konami has updated the collection since launch, adding higher resolution options on several platforms.

Master Collection Vol. 1 suits players who want to experience the Metal Gear story from the beginning, fans of slow, puzzle-like stealth, and anyone curious about the games behind the Metal Gear Solid Delta remake.
