Men of War II is a WWII tactical strategy game developed by Best Way and published by Fulqrum Publishing.

Serving as the direct sequel to the original Men of War, the game focuses on realistic battlefield tactics rather than traditional base-building strategy gameplay. Players command infantry squads, tanks, artillery, aircraft, and support units during intense historical World War II conflicts on both the Eastern and Western Fronts.

One of the series’ defining mechanics is “Direct Control,” allowing players to manually control individual soldiers or vehicles in real time for precise aiming, movement, and tactical combat. The game emphasizes realistic ballistics, destructible environments, ammunition management, vehicle damage systems, and strategic positioning.

Men of War II includes narrative campaigns, dynamic conquest modes, skirmishes, ranked multiplayer, co-op gameplay, and extensive modding tools integrated with Steam Workshop. The game features three armies, dozens of battalions, and hundreds of authentic WWII military units.

Community feedback praises the game’s tactical depth, realism, and large-scale battles, while some players note a steep learning curve and demanding micromanagement systems.
