Released on July 24, 2025, Killing Floor 3 evolves the classic wave-based survival formula with modern tech and tighter mechanics. It focuses on high-stakes, tactical co-op play where every resource counts.
The Stronghold Hub: Between matches, players gather in the Stronghold, a centralized hub where you can select your specialist, customize gear, and choose your next mission location.
Specialist System: Choose from six distinct specialists, including the sword-wielding Ninja with a grappling hook, the Engineer with map-activating multi-tools, and the Medic with healing dart SMGs.
Modern Mobility: Movement has been completely overhauled, allowing players to sprint-slide, mantle ledges, and dodge attacks, making the combat feel more reactive and fluid.
Next-Gen Gore: The return of the M.E.A.T. (Massive Evisceration and Trauma) system ensures that every bullet and blade-stroke leaves a lasting, graphic impact on the environment and the Zeds.
The 2091 Setting: Moving away from contemporary settings, KF3 embraces a dystopian sci-fi aesthetic, pitting you against cybernetically augmented Zeds in vertical, atmospheric maps.
Unreal Engine 5 Visuals: High-fidelity lighting and physics-based interactions bring the horror of Horzine to life.
6-Player Co-op: Team up with friends or join public matchmaking where enemy difficulty scales dynamically based on team size.
Zed Time: The signature slow-motion mechanic returns, allowing you to turn a frantic ambush into a cinematic tactical display.
Interactive Environments: Use zip lines to escape tight spots or activate automated turrets and traps to thin the horde.
Deep Progression: Level up your specialists to unlock unique skills and special abilities that define your role in the squad.
