Developed by Avalanche Studios and powered by the Avalanche 2.0 Engine, Just Cause 2 is a third-person shooter that prioritizes spectacular stunts and creative destruction over everything else. The game is famous for its verticality and a "Hybrid Locking System" that makes high-speed aerial combat feel fluid and cinematic.
Total Freedom: Explore a massive 1,000-square-kilometer map featuring diverse biomes, including lush jungles, scorching deserts, and snow-capped mountains.
Chaos System: Progress is tied to destruction. Blowing up government infrastructure and completing faction missions earns "Chaos Points," which unlock new story missions and Black Market items.
Infinite Stunts: Whether you are BASE jumping from a skyscraper, hijacking a fighter jet in mid-air, or tethering a pursuing car to a passing gas station, the game encourages you to play like an action movie star.
The Grapple & Parachute: Use the upgraded dual-grapple to tether enemies to vehicles, hang them from buildings, or slingshot Rico across the map with unparalleled mobility.
Massive Vehicle Selection: Command over 100 different vehicles, including high-speed dirt bikes, powerboats, attack choppers, and commercial airliners.
Black Market System: Summon a helicopter to drop weapons, vehicles, and upgrades directly to your location in exchange for cash earned through your exploits.
Multiplayer Mod (PC): While the base game is single-player, the official (and free) Multiplayer Mod on Steam allows hundreds of players to share the same world for chaotic racing and deathmatches.
