Into the Radius 2 is a virtual reality survival shooter developed and published by CM IMMERSIVE, released on Steam on April 23, 2026. It returns to the Pechorsk Anomaly, a zone of surreal landscapes, fog and distorted entities, and asks you to survive it with hands-on gear management rather than menus. The game is VR only and runs through OpenXR on PC headsets.
The core loop mixes exploration, scavenging and careful combat. You customize firearms part by part, swapping barrels, stocks, handguards and optics, and you have to clean and maintain every weapon because worn guns jam at the wrong moment. Chest rigs, vests, backpacks and pouches can be placed exactly where your hands expect them. Enemies range from human-shaped Mimics that take cover and set ambushes to invisible Phantoms and swarming Creeps, while anomalies explode, shock you or kill your light sources.
You can play the full story solo or host a co-op session for up to four players with proximity voice chat. An Into the Radius 2 CD key suits VR players who want a slow, tense survival sim with deep weapon handling. Check the official Into the Radius 2 site for headset compatibility before you buy.
Solo or Four-Player Co-op: Both modes share the same story and gameplay, and proximity voice chat lets your squad coordinate in real time.
Modular Weapon System: Build classic and modern firearms as full kits or part by part, combining barrels, stocks, handguards, optics and attachments.
Realistic Weapon Maintenance: Guns deteriorate with use and can jam or fail unless you clean and service them regularly.
Physical Loadouts: Arrange chest rigs, armor vests, backpacks, pouches and holsters where you want them, then repaint gear with the spray paint system.
Smarter Hostile Entities: Mimics search for you, take cover and rebuild ambushes, and react to flashlights and laser sights.
Deadly Anomalies: Some anomalies burst into shrapnel, others release electric shocks, suppress light sources or latch onto you before detonating.
Built for PC VR: Requires an OpenXR-compatible headset with tracked controllers; HTC Vive Wands and Windows Mixed Reality devices are not supported.
