What is Hatred?

Hatred is an isometric twin-stick shooter developed and published by Destructive Creations, released on Steam on June 1, 2015. It is a deliberately provocative game: you play The Antagonist, a man who turns against humanity, and the game's violence toward civilians is its central theme. The content is intended for adult players only, and it drew wide controversy at launch. Read the store description before you buy to make sure it suits you.

Gameplay uses twin-stick controls with a mostly black-and-white visual style broken by color effects. Levels take place on the outskirts of a city, where police and armed forces respond as you progress, so you need to move, find cover and fight back to survive. Steam lists leaderboards, achievements and full controller support, and the game runs on Windows and Linux. A Hatred CD key activates the game on Steam.

Players who like hard-edged top-down shooters such as Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number may be interested, though Hatred's tone is far darker.
