Halloween: The Game is an asymmetrical horror sandbox developed by IllFonic and based on John Carpenter’s 1978 Halloween film. Set during the night Michael Myers first returned to Haddonfield, the game lets one player become Michael Myers, known as The Shape, while other players take the role of Heroes of Haddonfield trying to warn residents and escape. Its main multiplayer mode uses a 1v4 structure, with Michael stalking, hiding and manipulating the environment against four opposing players. Heroes can alert townsfolk, contact the police, collect everyday items and weapons, command NPCs and create patrols to improve their chances of survival. The game also includes a standalone single-player Michael Myers story mode that recreates events surrounding “The Night He Came Home” from a new perspective. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, it focuses on destructible environments, dynamic NPC behaviour, stealth and cinematic horror presentation.
