Frostpunk 2 evolves the city-builder genre into a complex social and political simulation. While the first game focused on the raw struggle for heat, the sequel focuses on the "City" as a living organism where survival depends on balancing the needs of various factions and the expansion of massive urban districts.
Expanded Scale: Transition from building individual structures to designing entire city districts, each with specific industrial, residential, or research functions.
The Council Hall: Rule through politics rather than pure authoritarianism. Navigate the demands of diverse factions—each with their own vision for the future—and pass laws that can unite the city or tear it apart.
The Frostland & Colonies: Venture far beyond the city limits to establish colonies and extract vital resources like oil, establishing a supply chain necessary for the survival of the metropolis.
Ideological Conflict: Manage factions like the Technocrats or Icebloods, whose differing views on progress and tradition create a dynamic political landscape.
The Idea Tree: Research new technologies through a branching system where different factions propose varying solutions to the same problem.
Survival Strategy: Master the balance of supply and demand for food, warmth, and fuel while managing the rising "Tension" within your population.
Utopia Builder Mode: A deep sandbox experience that offers endless replayability alongside the gripping narrative campaign.
