FREEDOM WARS Remastered is a high-speed, third-person action RPG developed by Dimps Corporation and published by Bandai Namco. Set in a desolate future where resources are scarce, humanity is forced into massive penal city-states called Panopticons. You play as a "Sinner," born into a million-year prison sentence, who must "volunteer" for dangerous combat operations to earn years off your time.
The remaster elevates the original experience with high-resolution textures, 60 FPS support, and significant quality-of-life updates. Players utilize a unique grappling-hook tool called a "Thorn" to navigate 3D environments and take down "Abductors"—giant mechanical monsters designed to kidnap citizens. Alongside your customizable android companion, known as an "Accessory," you will battle through a dark, stylish world to reclaim your liberty.
Thorn Combat System: Use your Thorn to zip through the air, latch onto giant enemies, and perform powerful "Drag Down" attacks to topple massive Abductors.
Million-Year Sentence: Every action you take—from running for more than five seconds to talking to a guard—can add years to your sentence. Complete missions to reduce your term and unlock basic human "rights."
Customizable Accessory: Create and program your own warden cyborg that fights by your side, revives you in battle, and helps manage your prison life.
Remastered Enhancements: Enjoy 4K resolution support, an overhauled weapon crafting system, and new difficulty settings, including the challenging "Deadly Sinner Mode."
Online Multiplayer: Team up with up to 4 players in cooperative missions or engage in competitive PvP matches to contribute to your Panopticon’s global ranking.
