Forza Horizon 3 is an open-world racing game developed by Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios, set in a fictional representation of Australia that spans deserts, rainforests, beaches, and busy city streets. Players take charge of the Horizon Festival itself, customizing its direction, hiring and firing friends as festival stars, and using the Horizon Blueprint tool to create and instantly share custom race events, championships, and Bucket List challenges. The game features a roster of over 350 cars, ForzaVista vehicle exploration mode (a series first for Horizon), an Auction House for buying and selling cars with other players, and a Skill Shop where players spend skill points on gameplay perks and career bonuses. Multiplayer support includes online co-op for up to four players, online versus multiplayer for up to twelve, and Xbox cross-platform play between Xbox One and Windows 10, alongside Xbox Play Anywhere entitlement that lets a single purchase work on both platforms. Visually, the game supports 4K Ultra HD and HDR10 on capable hardware, with Xbox One X Enhanced features improving performance and detail on that console. Since its 2020 delisting, the game remains playable only for those who purchased it before removal, with owned content still downloadable from personal libraries.
