Evil West is a third-person action game developed by Flying Wild Hog and published by Focus Entertainment. It was released on November 22, 2022 for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

You play as Jesse Rentier, an agent of a secret vampire-hunting institute working to stop a dark menace spreading across the American frontier. The setting mixes Western towns, mines, and swamps with gothic horror.

Combat is close, brutal, and fast. You punch enemies with an electrified gauntlet, launch them into the air, and finish them with revolvers, rifles, and heavier weapons. Each encounter rewards switching between tools rather than relying on one.

A perk tree and weapon upgrades let you shape Jesse's style over the campaign. Levels are linear and focused, with boss fights against large monsters at key points.

Enemies range from fast ghouls to heavily armored brutes, and many encounters take place in arenas where positioning and crowd control matter. The game uses a pulpy, comic-inspired tone rather than a serious one. Adjustable difficulty and accessibility settings, such as text size, camera comfort, and color options, help tailor the experience to different players.

The full campaign can be played alone or with a friend in online co-op. Evil West suits players who enjoy classic, arena-style action games with a strong focus on combat.
