Dustborn is a single-player, story-driven action adventure game developed by Red Thread Games and published by Quantic Dream through its Spotlight label. It was released on August 20, 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

The game is a road trip across the Divided States of America, an alternate version of the country split into rival regions. You travel with a ragtag crew in a tour bus driven by a robot, carrying a stolen package that many people want back.

Words are the core mechanic. Your choices in conversations shape relationships with the crew, help you talk your way out of trouble, and influence how the story plays out. When talking fails, the journey also includes brawls and action sequences.

Along the way you stop at different locations, deal with the people you meet, and learn more about each crew member. The studio previously made narrative games such as Draugen and Dreamfall Chapters, and Dustborn continues that focus on characters and dialogue.

Dustborn suits players who enjoy narrative adventures with choices, character-driven road trip stories, and a mix of dialogue and light action, rather than competitive or co-op play. Players who liked the studio's earlier games will find the same focus on writing.
