Dolmen is a third-person sci-fi action RPG developed by Brazilian studio Massive Work Studio and published by Prime Matter, released on May 20, 2022 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It combines the punishing, stamina-based combat of Souls-like games with cosmic horror themes and a hard sci-fi setting.
You are sent to Revion Prime, a hostile alien world, to recover samples of the Dolmen, a crystal that allows interaction between realities. The planet is overrun with creatures and gruesome bosses, and every fight tests your timing. Combat lets you swap between melee weapons and ranged guns on the fly, while energy powers both your firearms and Energy Mode, which adds elemental status effects to melee attacks. Crafting gear from enemy materials and choosing when to spend energy are central to progress, and you can call in online co-op help for tough areas.
Dolmen suits players who like challenging action RPGs and want a sci-fi alternative to medieval fantasy settings. Reviews were mixed, with a PC Metacritic score of 55, so it is best approached as a budget pick for genre fans. A Dolmen CD key from a trusted seller is often far cheaper than its launch price.
