Developed by Ninja Theory (Hellblade) in collaboration with Capcom, DmC Devil May Cry (2013) serves as a standalone reboot of the legendary hack-and-slash franchise. You play as a rebellious, younger Dante who discovers he is a "Nephilim"—the offspring of an angel and a demon. Guided by his twin brother Vergil and the psychic Kat, Dante battles the demon king Mundus. The gameplay is defined by the "Style" system, where players switch instantly between Rebellion (sword), angelic weapons for speed/crowd control, and demonic weapons for raw power. The PC version is widely praised for its performance, offering a smooth 60+ FPS experience that enhances the responsiveness of its high-octane aerial combos.
The Nephilim Factor: Seamlessly transform your weapons on the fly. Hold the left trigger for Angel Mode (fast, multi-hit scythes) or the right trigger for Devil Mode (heavy-hitting axes and gauntlets).
Survive Limbo: The world itself is an enemy. Environments twist, stretch, and collapse in real-time, forcing you to use your grapple abilities to navigate hazardous terrain.
Iconic Combat: Master a deep arsenal including the Rebellion sword, Ebony & Ivory pistols, and unique weapons like the Kablooey needle gun and Aquila throwing blades.
Style Rankings: Chain together diverse attacks without taking damage to reach the coveted SSS rank.
Cinematic Storytelling: Experience a gritty narrative powered by high-end performance capture, featuring a reimagined cast of fan-favorite characters.
Bloody Palace: A massive post-game survival mode with 101 floors of escalating enemy waves and boss fights.
