Deathground is a co-op survival horror game developed and published by independent studio Jaw Drop Games. It entered Steam Early Access on October 7, 2025 for PC, so content and features are still being expanded.

You drop into the abandoned AEON research compound, complete mission objectives, recover lore documents and try to reach extraction alive. Each run includes procedurally generated elements and varied objectives, so routes and threats change between attempts.

The dinosaurs are the main threat. They hunt using sight, hearing and movement, which pushes you toward stealth, careful planning and quick decisions. Specialist tools such as the Motion Detector, Tranquilizer Rifle, Hacking Device and Field-Medkit give each player a tactical role.

You can play solo for a more isolating experience or team up with up to three friends in online co-op. A cosmetic option lets you switch between feathered and scaly dinosaur designs, and the soundtrack is by BAFTA-nominated composer David Housden.

Each map is set in a different part of the AEON facility, with its own theme, hazards and layouts to learn. Coordination is essential in co-op: one player might track movement while another hacks doors or sedates a predator. Choosing when to fight, when to hide and when to run is at the heart of every mission, and a failed extraction can quickly turn a confident team into a desperate scramble.

It suits fans of co-op horror, extraction-style missions and anyone who has wanted a tense dinosaur survival game with friends.
