Dead Rising 4 is an open-world zombie action game developed by Capcom Game Studio Vancouver and published by Capcom. It launched on December 6, 2016 for Xbox One and Windows 10, reached Steam in March 2017, and came to PlayStation 4 in December 2017 as Frank's Big Package.

You play as Frank West, the photojournalist from the original game, who returns to Willamette, Colorado during the holiday season. A new outbreak has overrun the town and its mall, and Frank sets out to uncover the truth behind it. The story mixes dark moments with the series' trademark silly humor, outfits, and holiday decorations.

Combat is built around variety. You can pick up almost anything as a weapon, then combine items into combo weapons and combo vehicles. EXO Suits give Frank extra strength for a short time, and new zombie classes keep fights from feeling the same. Frank can also take photos in different modes, which ties into his journalist background and some investigation sections.

The open world rewards scavenging, with blueprints, safe houses, and side activities spread across the map. Alongside the story, a separate online mode supports four-player co-op.

Dead Rising 4 suits players who want over-the-top zombie action with a sense of humor rather than tense survival horror. It also works well as a sandbox for experimenting with odd weapon combinations.
