Crypt of the NecroDancer is a roguelike rhythm game developed and published by Brace Yourself Games, with Klei Entertainment as co-publisher on Steam. It left early access on April 23, 2015 for PC, macOS, and Linux, and later came to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

You play Cadence, who must fight her way down through a cursed crypt. Every step, attack, and dodge has to land on the beat of the music. Miss the rhythm and you lose your coin multiplier, so the game rewards both quick thinking and steady timing.

Dungeon floors are randomly generated, and each enemy type moves in its own pattern tied to the beat. Learning those patterns, managing gold and diamonds, and choosing weapons, armor, and spells shapes every run. Permanent upgrades unlocked between runs help you push deeper.

The soundtrack by Danny Baranowsky drives the action, and the PC version lets you play to your own music files. Local co-op lets a second player join, and the paid Synchrony expansion adds online multiplayer for up to eight players.

Crypt of the NecroDancer suits players who enjoy tough roguelikes, music games, and short runs that build skill over time.
