Crisol: Theater of Idols is a first-person survival horror adventure developed by Spanish studio Vermila Studios and published by Blumhouse Games. It released on February 10, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

You play as Gabriel, a soldier sent on a mission by the Sun God to the cursed island of Tormentosa. Exploration takes you through grand ruins, eerie landscapes and maze-like streets as you uncover the island's cults and blood sacrifices.

The core twist is that blood is both your health and your ammunition. Every shot drains your life, so you constantly balance attacking against staying alive, and you restore blood from corpses found around the island.

Weapons are upgraded with coins found while exploring, and blood-based powers can be improved to deal more damage, fight longer and gain combat bonuses. Enemies include puppet-like statues brought to life, and puzzles break up the fighting. It is a single-player game.

The setting draws on Spanish history, religious imagery and local folklore, turning sacred statues into hostile enemies. A witch named La Plañidera sells upgrades, and finding caged crows across the island reduces upgrade costs, which rewards thorough exploration. Damage can be dealt to any part of an enemy's body, so careful aim helps you conserve blood during tougher encounters.

It suits survival horror fans who like resource tension, folklore-inspired settings and games in the tradition of classic first-person horror shooters.
