Cocoon is a puzzle adventure game developed by Geometric Interactive and published by Annapurna Interactive. It was released on September 29, 2023 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

The studio was co-founded by Jeppe Carlsen, the lead gameplay designer of Limbo and Inside. You control a small insect-like creature exploring strange alien machinery, with no dialogue and almost no text to guide you.

The core idea is worlds within worlds. Each world exists inside an orb that you can carry on your back, place on pedestals, and jump into. You can bring one orb into another world, then nest worlds inside each other to solve puzzles that span several layers at once.

Each orb also unlocks an ability, such as revealing hidden paths or firing projectiles to hit switches. Guardian boss fights break up the puzzles, and each one asks you to learn a new mechanic.

Cocoon is a single-player game. It suits fans of Limbo, Inside, and other wordless puzzle adventures, and players who enjoy clever ideas over difficult reflex tests. Most puzzles reward careful observation and logic rather than fast reactions or precise timing.
