Castlevania Anniversary Collection is a compilation of classic Castlevania games released by Konami on May 16, 2019, as part of the company's 50th anniversary celebrations. It is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
The collection brings together eight titles from the series' 8-bit and 16-bit era: Castlevania, Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, Super Castlevania IV, Castlevania: The Adventure, Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge, Castlevania Bloodlines, and Kid Dracula. Together they cover the series' origins on the NES, Game Boy, SNES, and Mega Drive/Genesis.
Most of the games follow members of the Belmont clan as they battle Dracula and his monsters through gothic castles, with tough platforming, whip-based combat, and secondary weapons such as axes and holy water. Kid Dracula offers a lighter, more humorous take on the series.
The collection adds modern conveniences, including save states, display filters, and border options. Several games include different regional versions. It also comes with a bonus digital book featuring developer interviews, design materials, and background on the series' history.
Castlevania Anniversary Collection is a single-player package and runs on very modest hardware. Compare its key prices on CDKeyCompares, check the platform on each offer, and see our guide on how to activate your CD key.
