Capes is a turn-based superhero strategy game developed by Australian studio Spitfire Interactive and published by Daedalic Entertainment. It released on May 29, 2024. The premise flips the usual comic-book story: twenty years ago the supervillains won, and they now run a dystopian city where developing super powers is a crime. You build a team of new heroes and fight to take the city back from the villains who hold it hostage.
The campaign mixes story missions with optional patrol missions. You can push the main plot forward or spend time on side jobs that unlock more heroes, earn Skill Points and reveal more about each character's life. Combat does not rely on random hit chances or hiding behind cover. Positioning, ability order and team composition decide each fight, and every hero gains a unique team-up ability from each ally on the squad of four.
