Call of Juarez: The Cartel is a first-person shooter developed by Techland and originally published by Ubisoft.

Set in the modern era, the game follows three playable protagonists—Ben McCall, Kim Evans, and Eddie Guerra—members of a special task force assembled to dismantle a dangerous drug cartel. The campaign takes players from Los Angeles to Juarez, Mexico, through a series of missions involving shootouts, vehicle chases, hostage rescues, and undercover operations.

Each protagonist offers unique abilities and a different perspective on the story, encouraging replayability. Players can tackle the campaign solo or team up with friends in three-player online co-op, using a variety of modern firearms and tactical equipment to complete missions.

Unlike earlier entries in the series, Call of Juarez: The Cartel trades its Wild West setting for a contemporary crime thriller while retaining the franchise's emphasis on cinematic action and first-person gunplay.
