Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is the direct sequel to the hit Modern Warfare II. Captain Price and Task Force 141 return to face the ultimate threat: the ultranationalist war criminal Vladimir Makarov. This installment celebrates the 20th anniversary of the franchise by modernizing all 16 launch maps from the original Modern Warfare 2 (2009) with new modes and gameplay features. For the first time ever, the game introduces a massive Open World Zombies experience, developed by Treyarch, featuring missions, secrets, and an extraction-based gameplay loop.
Cinematic Campaign: Experience "Open Combat Missions" that provide more player choice—sneak through the shadows with suppressed weapons or go in loud with heavy armor.
Legendary Multiplayer: Play all 16 modernized maps from the 2009 classic, including Afghan, Derail, Estate, Highrise, and Rust, alongside over 12 brand-new 6v6 core maps.
Modern Warfare Zombies (MWZ): Team up with other squads to survive massive hordes of the undead in the largest Call of Duty Zombies map ever created.
Tac-Stance & Movement Updates: Master new tactical movement mechanics, including the "Tac-Stance" for improved close-quarters combat and refined slide-canceling.
Aftermarket Parts: Customize your arsenal further with unique modification kits in the Gunsmith that drastically change a weapon's function and identity.
Carry Forward: Bring your weapons, blueprints, and operator skins from Modern Warfare II directly into Modern Warfare III.
