Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is a first-person shooter developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. It was released on November 4, 2014 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

The campaign is set in the 2050s, when private military corporations have replaced many national armies. You play as Jack Mitchell, a former Marine who joins Atlas Corporation, the world's largest private military company, run by Jonathan Irons. As Atlas grows more powerful, Mitchell has to decide where his loyalty lies.

The big change is the exoskeleton. Exo suits give every soldier boost jumps, quick dashes, and slides, and the campaign adds abilities such as cloaking, grappling, and overdrive. This adds a lot of vertical movement to firefights and changes how maps are played compared with earlier Call of Duty games.

Multiplayer builds on this with fast, exo-powered movement, the Pick 13 loadout system, and customizable gear and weapons. Exo Survival is a co-op mode for up to four players who fight waves of enemies and upgrade their exo suits between rounds. Later Season Pass map packs added Exo Zombies, a co-op zombie mode.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare suits players who like fast, movement-heavy shooters, a cinematic near-future campaign, and classic Call of Duty multiplayer with a high-tech twist.
