Co-developed by 2K Australia and Gearbox Software, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is a high-octane entry in the critically acclaimed sci-fi looter-shooter franchise. Narratively wedged right between the events of Borderlands and Borderlands 2, this chapter takes players to Elpis—the low-gravity moon orbiting Pandora. You are hired as a mercenary working directly alongside an ambitious, younger hyperion programmer named Jack, tracking his descent into madness as he transforms into the tyrannical dictator known as Handsome Jack.
The gameplay takes the classic, addictive "shoot-and-loot" formula of its predecessors and turns it upside down—literally. Because Elpis lacks an atmosphere, players must manage limited Oz kits (oxygen tanks) while utilizing the low-gravity environment to perform massive vertical leaps, double jumps, and devastating ground-pounding "butt slams." Featuring an all-new tier of frost and laser weaponry alongside four entirely unique Vault Hunter classes, this game offers an essential piece of universe lore.
