Blade Assault is a 2D action rogue-lite platformer developed by TeamSuneat and published by NEOWIZ, released on Steam on January 17, 2022. It is set in a sci-fi world split in three after the Red Stone War: the mutant-infested outside grounds, the Undercity where survivors took refuge, and the sky city Esperanza, home of the rich and powerful. You join the Undercity resistance and fight Esperanza's corrupt military.
Each run is built around fast combat. You dash through attacks, launch projectiles and slash through groups of enemies, while each playable character carries transformable weapons from their own armory. Randomly offered "Cores" and "Transform Upgrades" change how your attacks behave, so builds shift from run to run. Between runs you meet NPCs and collect upgrades that unlock new powers. The game supports English, Japanese, Korean, German, Russian and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
