Astrobotanica is a science-driven exploration and survival-crafting game developed and published by Space Goblin Studio. It entered Steam Early Access on February 16, 2026 and is currently available on PC.

You play as an alien botanist who lands on prehistoric Earth. You are an expert in plant research but cannot breathe oxygen, so staying alive depends on studying and growing the local flora to support your needs.

The gameplay loop combines farming, crafting, puzzle-solving, and exploration. You gather samples, research plants, build tools, and push further into an untouched prehistoric world.

Astrobotanica is a single-player game with a calm pace. It has no timed inputs, lets you save at any time, and includes adjustable audio settings, which makes it easy to play in short sessions.

Progress is driven by curiosity rather than pressure. The science theme sits at the center of the experience, so learning how the plants around you work is what lets you survive, build, and travel further. Because you cannot breathe the air, the survival side adds a light layer of planning without turning the game into a stressful grind. Farming and crafting feed into each other, giving each session a clear sense of progress.

The game suits players who enjoy cozy survival, farming sims, and science-themed exploration rather than combat-heavy action. Since it is in Early Access, content and features are still being added.
