Assassin’s Creed Shadows is an epic open-world Action-RPG that brings the franchise to 16th-century Japan. Developed by Ubisoft Quebec, the game features a dual-protagonist system that allows you to switch between stealth and frontline combat seamlessly.
The world of Shadows is dynamic and reactive, featuring a groundbreaking seasonal system. Landscapes change from lush spring greenery to frozen winter ponds, directly impacting your gameplay—such as hiding in tall grass during summer or dealing with frozen water that removes your ability to submerge. With its overhauled lighting engine and destructible environments, Shadows offers a "shinobi fantasy" that balances the series' stealth roots with the visceral power of samurai warfare.
Dual Protagonists: Switch between Naoe, who utilizes shadows and a grappling hook for stealth, and Yasuke, who uses brute force and katanas for direct combat.
Dynamic Seasons: Experience a world that changes over time; seasons affect enemy sightlines, terrain accessibility, and parkour opportunities.
Global Illumination System: Use light and darkness as tactical tools—extinguish lanterns or destroy lights to create a path for a stealthy infiltration.
Shinobi Hideout: Build and customize your own base of operations, recruit a spy network, and gather intelligence to hunt your targets.
Advanced Parkour & Combat: Utilize new movement mechanics like going prone, crawling through tight spaces, and using a physics-based grappling hook.
