Officially revealed in April 2026 and set for release on July 9, 2026, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is more than just a visual remaster. Developed by Ubisoft, it utilizes the advanced engine technology first seen in Assassin's Creed Shadows, featuring Micropolygon and Atmos tech for stunning environmental detail. This remake focuses on a single-player experience, removing the original's multiplayer and Freedom Cry DLC to focus entirely on Edward's journey. It features a modernized parkour system, a revamped stealth and combat engine, and a denser open-world map filled with new islands and locations to explore.
Modernized Engine: Experience the Caribbean with high-resolution textures, increased draw distances, and geometrically detailed models powered by Ubisoft's latest tech.
Overhauled Combat & Stealth: A refined gameplay loop that incorporates movement and stealth mechanics more akin to recent entries like Assassin's Creed Shadows.
Denser Open World: While the map remains roughly 16 square kilometers, it has been overhauled to include new islands, secret locations, and more organic exploration.
New Story Content: Discover a cast of new characters and additional story missions that expand on Edward Kenway’s rise within the Assassin Brotherhood.
Unprecedented Accessibility: Extensive new options, including "Infinite Breath" for diving, the ability to disable shark attacks, autopilot for the Jackdaw, and skip-able QTEs.
Refined Naval Gameplay: The iconic ship-to-ship combat of the Jackdaw returns with improved physics, new customization options, and updated crew interactions.
