ARK: Survival Ascended is a full reconstruction of ARK: Survival Evolved, rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5 and released on October 25, 2023. Studio Wildcard didn't just port the original—they redesigned the art, environments, and systems from scratch to use modern rendering technology like Nanite, Lumen, and RTXDI.
The game drops you onto a mysterious island filled with dinosaurs and primeval creatures. You start as a weak human with nothing but a stone pick and your survival instincts. Your goal is to climb the food chain by gathering resources, crafting tools, building bases, growing crops, and taming hundreds of dinosaur species to help you travel, fight, and gather.
Survival requires managing hunger, thirst, temperature, and weather while exploring a beautifully detailed world with dynamic water and interactive foliage. The base game includes The Island map and all of ARK's expansion worlds (Scorched Earth, Aberration, Extinction, Genesis Part 1, and Genesis Part 2) added at no extra cost after purchase.
ARK: Survival Ascended supports single-player, local co-op, PvP over LAN, split-screen co-op, online multiplayer up to 70 players, MMO-style servers, and cross-platform play. It's ideal for survival game fans, dinosaur lovers, base builders, and players who enjoy open-world exploration with chaotic, ambitious gameplay.
