ARC Raiders is an action game built around high-risk surface runs and an underground hub called Speranza, where survivors regroup, craft gear, and prepare for the next expedition. The game takes place in a “world twice-destroyed,” where environmental collapse came first and a mechanized threat known as ARC later drove humanity underground.
Its core loop blends scavenging, extraction, combat, and progression. You head topside alone or in squads of up to three, gather loot, avoid or fight lethal ARC machines, and deal with the constant risk posed by rival human Raiders. Back in Speranza, you can craft, repair, upgrade equipment, complete Trader quests, and invest in skills across Survival, Mobility, and Conditioning paths.
ARC Raiders is aimed at players who enjoy extraction shooters, cooperative survival gameplay, and flexible combat styles. It supports online PvP, online co-op, and cross-platform multiplayer, with a broader appeal for players who like build customization, weapon variety, and repeatable runs with changing conditions.

Extraction-Based Gameplay
ARC Raiders centers on high-risk expeditions where you enter dangerous zones, collect valuable resources, and try to extract safely before losing your gear. The extraction format creates constant tension because survival is just as important as combat.
PvPvE Combat
The game combines player-versus-environment threats with player-versus-player encounters, so you must handle deadly ARC machines and hostile human Raiders in the same match. This mixed structure makes each run less predictable and more strategic.
Solo or Squad Play
You can play alone or team up in squads of up to three players. This flexibility suits both solo survival players and groups that prefer coordinated scavenging and combat.
Ruined Sci-Fi World
The setting is a devastated future Earth shaped by environmental collapse and the machine threat known as ARC. This backdrop gives the game a strong survival atmosphere and a distinct science-fiction identity.
Underground Base Progression
Between missions, players return to the underground settlement of Speranza, which acts as the main hub for preparation and recovery. It is where you manage gear, interact with systems, and get ready for your next surface run.
Crafting and Upgrades
Loot gathered during expeditions can be used to craft equipment, improve loadouts, and strengthen your long-term progression. This system rewards successful extraction and gives purpose to every run.
Skill Tree Development
ARC Raiders includes skill progression through Survival, Mobility, and Conditioning paths. This allows players to shape their character based on preferred movement style, durability, and overall efficiency.
Weapon Variety
The game offers multiple weapon types, including SMGs, rifles, shotguns, railguns, and energy weapons. This range supports different combat approaches, from aggressive close-range fights to controlled long-range engagements.
Tactical Gadgets
Players can use practical tools such as grenades, traps, deployables, and ziplines to handle combat and movement more effectively. These gadgets add tactical depth beyond simple shooting.
Cross-Platform Multiplayer
The Steam listing confirms cross-platform multiplayer support, allowing a broader pool of players to join the same experience. This improves accessibility for friends using different supported systems.
