Apex Currency for PS4 encompasses the suite of in-game currencies available in Apex Legends on the PlayStation 4 platform, with Apex Coins being the primary premium currency purchasable with real money via the PlayStation Store. Apex Coins are sold in fixed bundles (e.g., 500, 1,000, 2,150, 4,350, 6,700, 11,500) and are used to purchase the seasonal Battle Pass (950 Coins), featured cosmetics in the rotating store, Apex Packs (500–700 Coins each), and new playable Legends (750 Coins each). In addition to Apex Coins, PS4 players also earn Crafting Metals (from Apex Packs and Battle Pass), Legend Tokens (from leveling up), Heirloom Shards (ultra-rare drops), and Exotic Shards (Season 24+), each serving distinct purposes for crafting cosmetics, unlocking Legends, and obtaining premium melee weapons or Exotic skins.
On PS4, Apex Coins are delivered as digital add-ons or 12-character redemption codes through the PlayStation Store, and must be redeemed on a PS4 or PS5 account (or via the PlayStation Store website) before they appear in-game. Once redeemed, the coins are stored in the player's Apex Legends wallet and, when the PSN account is linked to an EA Account, they share a unified balance with PC (EA App/Steam) and Xbox, allowing purchases on any of those platforms; however, PS4-specific codes cannot be redeemed directly on PC or Xbox without first being added to the PSN account. Buyers comparing an Apex Currency PS4 CD key should verify that the code is designated for PS4 and ensure their PSN account region matches the code to avoid redemption issues
