Anomaly Agent is a side-scrolling cyberpunk action platformer developed by Phew Phew Games. It launched in January 2024 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, with PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions following later in 2024. On PC, it is sold on Steam with support for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

You play as Agent 70, tasked with stopping anomalies that threaten the balance of the world. Levels mix platforming with fast brawls, and you can punch or shoot through crowds of enemies or toss them around with special anomaly weapons.

Combat flows between melee techniques and firearms, and acrobatic moves help you dodge attacks or escape pursuers. As you progress, you upgrade your character in different directions to suit how you like to fight. Full controller support on PC, including DualShock and DualSense pads, keeps the action responsive.

The time-bending story is full of twists and quirky characters, and your choices change how events unfold. Unique Anomaly Bosses break up the levels, and a catchy synthwave soundtrack backs the cyberpunk visuals. Steam Cloud saves keep your progress synced across PCs.

Anomaly Agent is a single-player game with modest system requirements. It suits fans of stylish side-scrolling action, short punchy combat encounters, and offbeat sci-fi stories.
