Developed by Pieces Interactive and published by THQ Nordic, this 2024 reimagining brings the series back to its 1920s roots. You follow private investigator Edward Carnby and Emily Hartwood as they explore the Derceto Manor sanatorium to investigate the disappearance of Emily's uncle. Written by Mikael Hedberg (SOMA, Amnesia), the game shifts from traditional fixed-camera angles to a modern over-the-shoulder third-person perspective. It blends atmospheric exploration, complex puzzles, and desperate combat against surreal creatures, all while delivering a narrative that changes significantly depending on which of the two protagonists you choose to play.
Dual Perspectives: Play as Edward Carnby or Emily Hartwood to see different cutscenes, interact with characters uniquely, and unlock exclusive levels.
Hollywood Talent: Experience an emotional narrative brought to life by the voices and likenesses of David Harbour (Stranger Things) and Jodie Comer (Killing Eve).
Southern Gothic Atmosphere: Immerse yourself in 1920s Louisiana, featuring a haunting "Doom Jazz" soundtrack that heightens the tension.
Modern Survival Horror: A complete rework of the classic formula featuring puzzles, resource management, and strategic combat.
Lovecraftian Mystery: Uncover a dark cult conspiracy and traverse nightmarish alternate realities where the logic of space and time crumbles.
