Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve is an arcade-style aerial combat game developed by Bandai Namco Aces Inc. (Project Aces) and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It launched in October 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

You fly as an elite pilot through a campaign of high-stakes missions, taking on enemy fighters, ground targets and large set-piece battles. The controls stay accessible, so the focus is on fast dogfights and choosing the right weapons for each sortie. Missions range from air superiority fights to strikes on targets below.

The game's skies use dynamic, multi-layered cloudscapes, and first-person cinematic scenes tell your pilot's story. Between missions you build bonds with squad members and face hard choices about command.

Ace Combat Online is the biggest multiplayer offering in the series so far. You explore an air base lobby with a custom avatar, then launch into online co-op missions and PvP modes, with cross-platform play supported.

It suits fans of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, newcomers who want approachable jet combat, and players looking for a flight game with both a story campaign and online squads.
