Abzû is an atmospheric, non-verbal adventure game developed by Giant Squid, the studio founded by the art director behind Journey and Flower. The name comes from ancient Mesopotamian mythology, combining "Ab" (Ocean) and "Zû" (to know)—essentially meaning "The Ocean of Wisdom."
As a diver, you will descend into a vibrant, fluid world teeming with life and ancient secrets. Unlike traditional simulators, Abzû focuses on the emotional experience of exploration. With a soaring orchestral score by Austin Wintory and stunning stylized visuals, it is a meditative journey that celebrates the beauty of marine life and the mystery of the deep.
Fluid Diving Mechanics: Perform acrobatic maneuvers with a grace-focused control system that feels natural and intuitive.
Breathtaking Ecosystems: Discover thousands of unique species based on real sea life and interact with massive schools of fish.

Ancient Mysteries: Uncover forgotten technology and murals that reveal the story of a lost civilization hidden beneath the waves.
Meditative Experience: Enjoy a game designed without the stress of "Game Over" screens, oxygen bars, or combat, focusing entirely on wonder and discovery.
